The Damson Dene Hotel found fame 2011 when it became the star of the Channel 4 TV show 'The Hotel'. The show shone the spotlight on the hotel's manager Wayne Bartholemew and his team of staff. The hotel is still run by the same team and Wayne still provides the whole hearted welcome to his guests. Wayne's dog Fly can still be found chasing the ducks and playing with other dogs which are guests in the hotel.

With open log fires and beautiful oak beams, Damson Dene Hotel features a luxury spa, beautiful landscaped gardens and a traditional restaurant. Windermere is just a 15-minute drive away.

The Damson Dene Leisure Centre features an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. There is also a fitness centre and beauty rooms, offering a range of indulgent treatments.

Heron View Restaurant and Bar serves a creative, seasonal menu using fresh ingredients from Damson Dene’s own kitchen garden.

The elegant rooms are classically decorated in natural colours, and each has tea/coffee facilities and a flat-screen TV. All rooms have an en suite modern bathroom, and many offer scenic views of the gardens.
