The Damson Dene Hotel found fame 2011 when it became the star of the Channel 4 TV show 'The Hotel'. The show shone the spotlight on the hotel's manager Wayne Bartholemew and his team of staff. The hotel is still run by the same team and Wayne still provides the whole hearted welcome to his guests. Wayne's dog Fly can still be found chasing the ducks and playing with other dogs which are guests in the hotel.
